Nusa
Dua bali is one of the areas of tourism in Bali, which is located in Badung.
The area is a pilot area to become the pride of Bali and Indonesia is
starting built since 1974.
The government submitted the management of
this area to the BTDC. Nusa Dua area of the distance from the city of
Derby is 30 km (road through the area to the south of Kuta), and the
distance from the airport is 12 km.
This area has the most complete
tourism facilities in Bali, even in Indonesia, such as accommodation,
sports facilities, and shopping center. Until now in this area has
built nine hotels. This area also has beautiful beaches and good for
recreation and sport.
- Pantai Geger (Geger Beach). This
is the public beach in Nusa Dua. This splendid white sand beach at the
western edge of the enclave retains lots of the character that is
missing in the sanitised Nusa Dua resort zone. Generally safe for
swimming and some beach side warungs. The restaurant, beachbeds and
massage ladys all work for the local cooperative. By suporting them you
support the locals. Geger has a cooling breeze as it is one of the few
beaches facing east and because ofv the reef far out from the beach it
has some of the warmest water temperatures in Bali. Head westwards out
of the Nusa Dua enclave passing the golf course and then the St Regis
Hotel (on your left). Shortly after the St Regis, take the first turning
left towards to the beach and procerd to the Pantai Geger car park.
- Pasifika Museum, Blok P, BTDC Nusa Dua (near Bali Collection), +62 361 774935 , . 10AM-6PM daily. A
truly under-appreciated and poorly known attraction. It is a splendid
museum, and is highly recommended for anyone interested in the art of
Bali, Southeast Asia and the South Pacific region. Look for the
exhibitions focused on European artists who made Bali their home, as
well as renowned local painters. The Indochinese exhibition is
impressive, as are the displays of Polynesian artifacts. Featuring
premium artworks of well known artists from around the world such us
Paul Gauguin, Theo Meier, Le Mayeur, Rudolf Bonnet, Arie Smith, Hendrik
Paulides, Isaac Israel, Emilio Ambron, and many more. Rp 70,000.
- Serangan Island (Turtle Island). Boats
are available from Nusa Dua and Tanjung Benoa. These are usually
glass-bottomed allowing observation of marine life from within the boat.
As the name suggests, Serangan is a turtle conservation area. The local
people keep turtle eggs in traditional conservation houses until they
hatch and then the youngster are released from local beaches. Besides
turtles, they also have reptiles, birds, snakes and bats. US$30.
Many companies in Nusa Dua offer water sports activities
(banana boat, parasailing, jetski, diving, flying fish, etc). You can
book directly on the beach at Nusa Dua or Tanjung Benoa, or have your
hotel organise for you. All the operators work together to ensure that
there is very little (if any) price difference. Expect to pay about
US$25-30 for most activities.

Sanur Beach
Sanur is center of water sport in Bali such as wind surfing, parasailing and other water sports in Bali. Visitors go to Sanur beach for its calm and quite lagoon area.
Sanur is Bali's oldest upscale resort area and is a mature beach-side
town. Despite the abundance of restaurants and accommodation, it has a
quiet and relaxed feel to it. In general terms, it is more expensive
than Kuta but cheaper than Seminyak. Sanur tends to appeal most to middle-aged and older families, especially Europeans.
The Sanur area is sandwiched between the main Jalan Ngurah Rai
bypass and the beach. One main route called Jalan Danau Tamblingan runs
north to south through the town and it is easy to orient yourself with
reference to this road.
Sanur is a 20 minute taxi ride from the Ngurah Rai International Airport,
and a pre-paid coupon costs Rp 90,000. There are plenty of metered
taxis all over the island who will be keen to take you to Sanur.
If you are driving yourself, this is one of the more
staightforward areas of Bali to find as the main Jalan Bypass Ngurah Rai
is the western boundary of Sanur. There are many well signposted exit
points from this main road into the heart of Sanur. Allow about 20
minutes driving time from Kuta or Legian, about 30 minutes from Seminyak or Ubud and 10 to 15 minutes from Denpasar.
